Editing Objects in enaio® client
If you want to edit objects in enaio® client, it is important to differentiate between the index data and the documents.
Editing Index Data
You can change the index data of folders, registers, or documents at any time, provided you have be assigned the appropriate rights. How to edit index data is described on the following pages.
Editing Document Content
It is necessary to make a distinction between audit-proof archived documents and non-audit-proof archived documents when editing the contents of documents:
Document contents that were archived in an audit-proof manner cannot be edited; only their index data can be changed. However, documents that were archived in an audit-proof manner can be copied, moved, deleted, or exported.
You can find information on how to approve a document for audit-proof archiving or change the archiving status of a document in Changing the Archiving Property.
Both the document content and the index data can be edited in documents that were not archived in an audit-proof manner.

Editing Objects in the History
If you want to create a new object or edit the object's index data or content, then
-
the object will be listed in the history (see History).
-
the edits you have made will be automatically stored in the object history as an event (see History of Documents and History of Folders and Registers).
