The In-tray
All objects that have already been created in yuuvis® RAD but have not yet been filed in the yuuvis® RAD filing system are managed in the In-tray. The in-tray temporarily stores the objects that have not yet been filed. For this reason, you can initially only create the objects; you can finish filing the objects later on.
You can open the in-tray via the Main menu > In-tray on the yuuvis® RAD bar or via the
In-tray icon on the yuuvis® RAD bar. A number on the
In-tray icon indicates how many objects are currently in the in-tray.
In the case of smaller monitors or browser windows (<600 pixels wide), the Favorites,
In-tray,
Inbox and
User documentation icons are hidden in order to better display the yuuvis® RAD bar.
The in-tray shows the objects to be filed list on the left and the filing area on the right.
Objects To Be Filed List
Objects that have not yet been filed in the yuuvis® RAD filing system will be shown in the list area of the in-tray as objects to be filed. This list can be refreshed, filtered, and sorted. The following functions are available:
The list of objects to be dropped contains various list entries that each have a specific meaning.
The Filing Area
You can edit created objects in the filing area so that you can then file them in the yuuvis® RAD filing system.
You can use the filing area

You have the option of entering and/or editing the metadata of the created object in the filing area. Metadata fields that are prepopulated by the object type definition are indicated by a df. Fields that are indicated by an ex extract the metadata from the document file's metadata. The Metadata section describes your options for maintaining metadata in yuuvis® RAD.
If you have accordingly edited a created object in the in-tray, you can finish the object creation process using the File and File and Open buttons in the header of the filing area. The object will be filed in the yuuvis® RAD filing system when you click the File button and you can continue to work in the in-tray, whereas the in-tray is closed when you click the File and Open button and the object view on the object’s filing location is opened.
The content of e-mail attachments is not shown in the content preview in the filing area.
Deleting Objects That Have Not Been Filed
If you want to remove objects not yet filed from the list or from yuuvis® RAD, select the corresponding object from the list and click the Recycle bin icon in the header of the filing area, or select the
Delete action in the
Actions menu.
Under the default yuuvis® RAD client settings, temporarily stored objects will be deleted after two days. This time period can be changed by the administrator.
Adjusting the Layout
You can change the layout of the areas (see Hiding and Undocking Areas). You can also change the arrangement of the aspect areas to your liking (see Object Aspects).
