Adding a Document File Later
If you create and file an object in yuuvis® RAD client (see Creating Document Files), however, you have not added a document file yet, you can still do so later on.
To add a document file later, follow these steps
-
Select an object in a hit list or the object’s folder view in yuuvis® RAD or open the object view by double-clicking the object.
-
Drag a file from your Windows file system and drop it onto the yuuvis® RAD client workspace.
Alternatively, you can copy a document from your file system to the Windows clipboard using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C or a screenshot using the keyboard shortcut Print and paste it to yuuvis® RAD client at a location of your choice using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.
The Upload file(s) filing menu appears.
-
Drop the file onto the filing menu.
yuuvis® RAD client detects that the object in yuuvis® RAD does not yet have a document file and it offers the Add document file option.
-
Click Add document file.
A new version of the object is created and the file from the Windows file system is added to the selected object.
If you want to add the document file of another yuuvis® RAD object to an yuuvis® RAD object, then you will need to first download this document file to the Windows file system using the actions menu (see Download Document File) before you can add it to another object as a document file using drag and drop or copy and paste (see Replace document file).
