yuuvis® RAD Integrations

yuuvis® RAD client 10.x »

A variety of optional extensions are available for yuuvis® RAD client, which make it easier to work with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Outlook:

  • yuuvis® RAD agent

yuuvis® RAD agent is used to create a connection and exchange documents between the browser and the local workstation (see yuuvis® RAD agent).

  • yuuvis® RAD Office Add-In

yuuvis® RAD functions are integrated directly into Microsoft Office applications via yuuvis® RAD Office Add-In (see yuuvis® RAD Office Add-In).

  • yuuvis® RAD Outlook Add-In

yuuvis® RAD Outlook Add-In provides functions that make it easier for you to transfer e-mails from Microsoft Outlook to yuuvis® RAD (see yuuvis® RAD Outlook Add-In).

  • yuuvis® RAD office-365-dashlet

Allows you to edit Microsoft Office 365 documents directly from the Content aspect area (see The yuuvis® RAD office-365-dashlet).

yuuvis® RAD Office Add-In and yuuvis® RAD Outlook Add-In presume the use of yuuvis® RAD agent. All three extensions are set up by your administrator at your workstation.

The yuuvis® RAD add-ins add a new group named yuuvis® RAD to the Start ribbon tab in the Microsoft Office applications that contains buttons for various ECM functions. For example, you can use the yuuvis® RAD Office Add-In to file newly created Office documents directly from Office applications to yuuvis® RAD. Documents created in yuuvis® RAD can be opened directly in Office applications with the help of yuuvis® RAD agent and yuuvis® RAD Office Add-In at the click of a mouse. When closing, they will be saved directly in yuuvis® RAD and checked in again.

yuuvis® RAD office-365-dashlet works without yuuvis® RAD agent, though it will also need to be set up by the administrator of your yuuvis® RAD system. The dashlet is automatically displayed in the Content aspect area if you selected a document in an object list whose object type permits editing using Microsoft Office 365. Different Microsoft functions will be offered in the dashlet depending on whether you selected a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document. You do not need an Microsoft Office 365 account to use these functions, except for 'Edit'.
