The Members Settings Area
The Members settings area is part of the
Settings view. Here you can make changes to the settings of the project room in which you are currently located. Open the
Members settings area by clicking the
Settings icon in the main navigation and then on the
Members tab.
If you selected the Slim, Slim +, or Horizontal menu type, you first have to click the Project icon in the main navigation before you can click the
Settings icon in the submenu that opens.
If you selected the Overlay menu type, you first have to click the Main navigation icon in the coLab header before you can click the
Settings icon in the main navigation bar that opens.
You can find more information about the menu types that are available at Customizing the User Interface.
The Members settings area contains a table of project members. This table shows the names, roles, and e-mail addresses of the other project room members.
No e-mail address is stored in enaio® coLab when registering via social media accounts such as Google, LinkedIn, and Microsoft. For this reason, notifications such as those regarding assigned tasks are not possible.
The following Members administrative functions are available to you in the settings area:
-
Leave project
The
Leave project function is provided in the header of the project member table. You can leave the project after clicking the icon and after a confirmation dialog. Leaving a project only affects the project in which the deletion took place. Your memberships in other projects remain unaffected by this deletion. You can find a detailed description of how to leave projects and enaio® coLab in Leaving Projects or enaio® coLab.
If you are the last or only owner to leave a project room, you will receive a warning and the deletion process will be canceled. You have to delete the project room in order to delete the last or only owner of a project room (see Deleting Project Rooms).
-
Edit role
Project room owners and project members with a corresponding user-based role can also edit the roles of other project room members in the
Members settings area. You can also find the
Edit role function in the
More actions menu of the relevant member’s entry in the table.
This feature changes the role of project members in the project in which the change was made. The roles of an coLab user in other projects remain unaffected when this role is changed.
You can find a detailed description of the rights associated with the various roles in Managing Project Members.
-
Delete member
Project room owners and project members with a corresponding user-based role can delete the membership of project room members in a project in the
Members settings area. You can also find the
Delete member function in the
More actions menu of the relevant member’s entry in the table.
The deletion of a project member only affects the membership in the project in which the deletion took place. Memberships of said coLab user in other projects remain unaffected by this deletion.
You can find a detailed description of how to delete project room members in Managing Project Members.
