Kofax Settings
If you use a scan subprogram based on Kofax Image Products technologies, you can change the settings for the scan parameters, Kofax image editing filters, and for the barcode recognition. The settings can be saved in various configurations. The name of the configuration is shown in the Kofax scan window under START > Settings or in the START ribbon, depending on the Configuration.
Settings will be saved for each specific user and workstation.

Start enaio® capture.

Start a batch in enaio® capture in a scan subprogram based on Kofax Image Products technology.

On the START tab in the Kofax scan window, select Settings > New.
The Create settings window will open.

Name the configuration in the Create settings window.
The name may not contain more than eight characters. Use only characters, numbers, and the underscore (_) for the name.
If you name a configuration with numbers from '0' to '9' in the front, buttons will be automatically created on the toolbar. You can select a configuration with these buttons or the respective numbers on the keyboard. The same applies for configurations with the names 'CTRL_0' to 'CTRL_9'. These configurations can be selected using the shortcut CTRL+Number.

Confirm by pressing OK.
The new configuration is shown under START > Settings or in the START ribbon, depending on the Configuration.

To adjust the scan parameters, select the device-specific settings dialog under Settings > Scan parameter on the START tab.
The Scan parameter window will open.

For example, a scan resolution value can be entered there. Confirm your entries by pressing OK.

To adjust the Kofax image editing filters, open the following entries under Settings on the START tab:

Black border
This filter is used to remove black borders which result from scanning. -
Align
This filter corrects scanned pages which, for example, have been skewed. -
Deshade
With this filter you can remove gray areas or shades on scanned pages. -
Clean
With this filter you can remove dirty traces on scanned pages. -
Filter
This menu item provides you with different editing filters for the scanned pages. -
Line removal
With this filter you can remove lines on scanned pages.
The settings dialog for a Kofax filter will open.

Make the corresponding adjustments to the filter in the settings dialogs.
The filter settings dialogs are described under Kofax Filter Settings.
Filters can extend the runtime considerably. Incorrectly selected and configured filters may delete information from scanned pages.

Confirm your entries by pressing OK.
The configuration is complete.
If you are scanning using the scan subprogram AXICSCAN, which includes both scanning and barcode recognition, you will find the Barcode entry under Settings on the START tab. This entry will open the hardware settings dialog for barcode recognition (see Kofax Barcode Settings).
The following entries can be found in the Devices menu:

Scanner selection
Select a scanner -
File processing
Select a device for file import. -
Reset device
The selected device will be reset.
