Depository Operations

Depository operations, like all operations, use the general parameters E-mail mode and Report mode as well as specific parameters.

Cleaning Up Audits

Statistical database queries from file operations are cleaned up.

Specific parameters of the operation:

Save destination	Selection from all areas, configured media sets, or media
Storage area	Area: Work, Archive, Cache
Media set	Media set from the area
Storage	Storage from the media set
Older than	Date: specification of a date Day: specification of the number of days Cleans up data that is older than specified.

Cleaning Up the Cache

The cache for document files is cleaned up.

Specific parameters of the operation:

Storage	Selection from the configured cache sets
High-water mark	High-water mark in MB The cache is cleaned up if the high-water mark is exceeded and until the low-water mark is reached.
Low-water mark	Low-water mark in MB
Older than	Date: specification of a date Day: specification of the number of days Only files older than specified will be deleted.
Deletion order	Largest first: The files are sorted according to their size, and the largest ones are deleted first. Oldest first: The files are sorted according to their date, and the oldest ones are deleted first.

Cleaning Up the History

The task execution history is deleted. The history can be viewed via the Completed tasks area of the operations.

Specific parameters of the operation:

Task name

Enabled: Only the history of the selected task is cleaned up.

Permanently Deleting Files

Deleted document files are permanently deleted.

The recycle bin can be deactivated. In this case, only users with the object type right 'Destroy' will be able to permanently delete business objects. Restoring the recycle bin and the operation 'Permanently delete files' will not be available. The recycle bin is deactivated via yuuvis® RAD management-studio: Main menu > System > Settings > Core service > Global > Server > Activate recycle bin

Specific parameters of the operation:

Seconds	Time span in seconds Only the files deleted in yuuvis® RAD before this time span are permanently deleted.
Threads	Defines the number of threads processed concurrently in the core service. The smaller the thread count, the faster the threads will be processed. The lowest value is 1; the highest possible value is 10.
Error	Enabled: The operation is canceled if an error occurs during deletion.

Individual deleted objects can be restored via the recycle bin. Objects can be permanently deleted via the 'Delete objects' operation using an eSQL statement.

The full-text index can be cleaned up after deleting large numbers of documents.

Integrity Check

Integrity check of a storage media.

Specific parameters of the operation:

Save destination	Selection from all areas, configured media sets, or media
Report DMS information	Enabled: Object information is extensively logged.

Cleaning Up Storage

Nodes of a storage that has duplicates on other media are deleted.

Example: A storage is synchronized and then cleaned up.

Synchronizing Storage

A source storage is synchronized with a destination storage. Files from the source storage are copied to the destination storage. Any files existing there are overwritten. Files on the destination storage that are not available on the source storage are deleted. Retention periods for files on the destination storage can be changed.

Specific parameters of the operation:

Source storage	Selection from the configured media
Destination storage	Selection from the configured media
Retention period	If you enable Set retention period, the system will prompt you to specify a new retention period for the files on the destination storage. Enter the retention time in days, months, or years that should apply from the synchronization time. If you enable Synchronize retention periods, retention times specified for the source storage will be compared with the newly set retention times, and the longer time period will be used in each case. The retention period of individual files can be changed via the following end point: http://<host-gateway>/rest-ws/#ENDPOINT:DmsService.updateItemContentRetention
Threads	Defines the number of threads processed concurrently in the core service. The smaller the thread count, the faster the threads will be processed. The lowest value is 1; the highest possible value is 10.

Checking Storage

Files on media are checked.
