Printing a Document File

yuuvis® RAD client 10.x »

You have several options for printing out a document file in yuuvis® RAD client:

  1. Via the Download document file icon 'Download document file' function in the object area

Download a document file in its original format onto your local computer using the Download document file icon 'Download document file' icon in the header in the object area (see Download Document File). Open it in the appropriate application and print it out.

  2. Via the Actions menu iconActions menu

Download a document file onto your local computer via Action iconActions >GENERAL > Download document file icon Download document file (see Download Document File). Open it in the appropriate application and print it out. When downloading, you can choose between the original and PDF format. If the original document is not a PDF document, the PDF conversion may differ slightly in layout from the original version.

  3. Via the content preview

Open the content preview of the document file (see The Content Preview) that you want to print out, and click the Printer icon Printer icon in the header area of the content preview. If you cannot find a printer icon in the header area of the content preview, click the Content preview menu icon Menu icon and select the printer icon there. Alternatively, you can drag to adjust the width of the area window of the content preview until the printer icon becomes visible in the header area.

Since the content preview is a PDF conversion of the original document file, the layout of the printer may be different from that of the original. To print the document file correctly, download it via the Actions menu iconActions menu and print it with your local application.

When printing e-mails, attachments might not be printed out. In order for the attachments to be printed out, they must each be displayed individually in the preview (The Content Preview).

  4. Using yuuvis® RAD office-365-dashlet

The optional yuuvis® RAD office-365-dashlet extension offers several options for printing Microsoft Office documents. On the one hand, the content preview in the dashlet offers the option of printing the displayed documents (see The yuuvis® RAD office-365-dashlet). On the other hand, you can also print the documents in the applications you opened in order to edit them in the Microsoft Office 365 cloud.
