Forwarding Work Items
To use workflows, users require the system role Use workflow.
A workflow model consists of several work items. The work items are displayed in the My incoming messages inbox, where they can be further edited and forwarded. To forward a work item, you have to open it (see Editing Work Items).
You can open the My incoming messages inbox via the Inbox icon in the main menu. You can open a work item selected in the My incoming messages inbox via the context menu ( Open) or by double-clicking (enaio® webclient and enaio® webclient as a desktop application) or tapping (enaio® mobile) on it.
Right-click (enaio® webclient and enaio® webclient as a desktop application) or press and hold (enaio® mobile) to open the context menu of the search form.
The context menu can also be opened on smartphones by clicking the More actions icon found on each line.
Click or tap on the Forward icon to forward the work item. The forwarded work item is removed from the list of work items to be processed in the My incoming messages inbox and shown in the inbox of the subsequent workflow recipient.
Recipients of Forwarded Work Items
The workflow model defines which users can carry out the next work item. If you can carry out the following work item yourself, the workflow form can be configured to continue to the next step immediately, in which case the following workflow form opens right away.
On the workflow form, you can use the Workflow recipient add-on to specify other users and roles that can execute a subsequent work item.
Completing Workflows
If not all of the individual work items for the workflow have been finished, you will receive an error message containing information about the work items that remain to be completed.
Depending on the workflow model, you may need to simply acknowledge the confirmation of notice or enter your password to complete a work item.
Typeless documents and documents without filing locations in the workflow file will be lost when the last work item is forwarded.
