Assigning a Document Type to Documents in the Internal Tray
You can also edit the content and index data of a document in the internal tray when you assign a document type to a document. Single or double-click actions are also available based on the document type for documents to which a document type has already been assigned. Double-clicking a typed document can trigger various actions, also referred to as default actions. Your administrator determines what action is triggered. You can find information in Default Actions regarding the default actions that have been configured.
-
Select a document without type in the internal tray to which you want to assign a document type.
Documents without type are flagged as such in the object list of the internal tray and in the context menu of the document.
-
Open the context menu.
-
Click or tap on the
Create index data icon in the context menu.
The
Create index data function is not available for typeless documents without content that were created with enaio® client and that are also shown in the internal tray of enaio® webclient during synchronization.
The Select object type menu now opens.
-
Select an object type from the menu.
The Create index data index form of the corresponding object type opens.
-
Complete the index data form and, when you are finished, click (or tap) the
Save button.
The Add content area in the index data form is read-only. This means that you cannot replace the document, as is usually the case in the process of newly creating one.
The document is flagged as a typed document in the object list and in the context menu.
The functions Edit index data and
Edit content are available in the document’s context menu.
The document no longer needs to be assigned an object type during the filing process in enaio®.

If neither of the two icons is shown, you either do not have the appropriate rights to paste the document to the desired location or the location is not configured to file the document from the internal tray. Please contact your administrator if you have any questions.
A submenu with the list of permitted object types at the selected location is shown.

If the
