The Project’s Home Screen
Every project room has its own home screen. Clicking the project name link in the tile on the project overview page of a project will open the home screen of the corresponding project room.
The home screen of a project room is divided into the New message, Project members, and Open tasks areas.
The Messages Area
All messages in the project room are listed chronologically in this area. The message list can contain text messages written by you or other project members, as well as system messages such as shared file notifications (see Message Types).
In addition to the actual message text, the message list also shows the author, the age of the message, and, depending on the message type, various functions.
It is possible that the messages area on the project’s home screen have been hidden in the settings of enaio® coLab (see The General Settings Area).
Clicking the New message button will open a form in which you can write your own message (see Creating Messages). You can change messages that you have composed at any time by clicking the 'Edit message' icon in the message header. You can also remove messages that you have created from the message list by clicking the 'Delete message' icon after a confirmation dialog.
Messages that are linked to a file are indicated by a 'Go to file' icon (see also Message Types). Clicking the icon will open the files view and the file content is shown in the content preview. In addition, the filing location is shown in the directory structure and the linked file is highlighted in the file list.
It is possible for messages to be linked to a file whose filing location can no longer be shown due to the decrease by reducing the query depth. In these cases, clicking the 'Go to file' icon will only show the content of the file in the content preview.
The Project members Area
All project members and their member roles are shown in this area.
The Open tasks Area
This area shows your open tasks and their due dates. The tasks are sorted according to the task groups in which they were created. Clicking the name of a task group will take you directly to the task group in the task area, where you can continue to work on the tasks.
It is possible that the tasks view and the task area on the project’s home screen have been hidden in the settings of enaio® coLab (see The General Settings Area).
If the features described above are not available to you, then it may be because you have been assigned a user-defined role that does not contain the corresponding rights. Contact a coLab administrator or the project room owner if you have any questions or if you need these rights.
