The General Settings Area

enaio® coLab 11.0 »

The General settings area is divided into the following areas:

  • Project name

The project name of a project room is shown on the Overview of the Project Rooms and in the coLab header when you have opened a project. Here project room owners and project members with a corresponding user-defined role can change the project name.

  • Description

The project description of a project room is shown on the Overview of the Project Rooms. Here project room owners and project members with a corresponding user-defined role can edit the description.

  • enaio® root object

The object in enaio® that was initially selected for the creation of a project room is called the root object (see Creating Project Rooms).

This area shows the title of the enaio® object, its object ID, and two links. enaio® users can click the links to show the location of the root object.

    • Download link to the enaio® root object

Depending on the settings in your browser, an *.os reference file is offered for downloading or executing when you click the download link to the enaio® root object. enaio® users can use the *.os reference file to show the root object and its location (see The Root Object).

*.os reference files are supported by enaio® client, enaio® webclient as a desktop application, and enaio® mobile. enaio® webclient does not support *.os reference files.

    • Link to the enaio root object in a web client

enaio® webclient users can click this link to receive a web client URL for the root object. The location of the root object is then shown in enaio® webclient in the browser.

  • Upload document type

Setting up the coLab upload document type enables all project members (enaio® users and external project members) to upload files in enaio® coLab and to automatically file these files in the enaio® filing system (see Adding Folders and Files and Replacing Files).

The upload document type is configured by the enaio® administrator.

  • Show/hide

By de/activating the Show messages and Show tasks checkboxes, you also have the option of showing or hiding the message and task area on the project’s home screen and the tasks view.

If the features described above are not available to you, then it may be because you have been assigned a user-defined role that does not contain the corresponding rights. Contact a coLab administrator or the project room owner if you have any questions or if you need these rights.
