Logging In Using enaio® webclient as a desktop application
The application must be installed on your computer in order to use enaio® webclient as a desktop application.
You can download the latest installation file for the desktop application via enaio® webclient in your browser. Alternatively, the installation file can also be provided as an MSI package by your administrator. The Login Dialog

Your administrator has provided you with a user name and password for enaio®.

Your administrator has provided you with an IP address/URL so you can connect to enaio®.

You have a working network connection to enaio® server.
Clicking the enaio® icon on your Windows desktop opens the login dialog. The login dialog supports various login methods. The following login methods are available in the Type field:
Select this login method if you administrator has provided you with an enaio® user name and an enaio® password. Enter your login data into the URL, User name, and Password fields and then click the Log in button. The desktop application of enaio® webclient dashboard is displayed once you have successfully logged in.
Once you have successfully logged in to enaio®, you should change your password after logging in for the first time (see Changing the Password).
You can configure enaio® to force you to change the password after logging in for the first time. This one-time password only enables you to set a new password that will allow you to work in enaio® initially.
If you enter an incorrect password three times while logging in, the user account will be automatically locked. You can ask your administrator to reset your password and have your user account unlocked.
The administrator can generally unblock the password after three failed login attempts in enaio® enterprise-manager (see Server Properties ).
If you choose this login method, you can use your Windows user name and password to log in to enaio®.
Using this login method, other users besides the current Windows user can log in to enaio® with their Windows user name and password.
enaio® webclient as a desktop application supports the login and authentication with OpenResty and Keycloak as well.
If you choose this login method, you can use your Keycloak user name and password to log in. Enter your login data into the URL field and then click the Log in button. The Keycloak login dialog will open.
Enter your Keycloak user name and your Keycloak password in the Keycloak login dialog and click the Log in button. The desktop application of enaio® webclient dashboard is displayed once you have successfully logged in.
Logging In Using Profiles
Once you have successfully logged in, your login data you used to log in on the device will automatically be saved as a profile. You can use the saved profiles in the Profile field the next time you log in on the same device. If you select a profile, then you only have to enter your password manually into the login dialog.
You can save an unlimited number of profiles. The profiles are stored locally on the device you are logged in on and are only available there for further use.
Profiles that you no longer want to use can be deleted by clicking the Remove icon. Please note that deleted profiles cannot be restored.
Deleting your profile also deletes the data of your synchronized items. The objects are then no longer available in offline mode.
If you select a profile with Keycloak login method, you need to enter your user name and your password in the Keycloak login dialog.
Option: Logging In Automatically
If you tick the Log in automatically checkbox when logging in to enaio®, you do not need to log in again

if you exited the desktop application of enaio® webclient without logging out.
You can exit the desktop application of enaio® webclient without logging out if you close the desktop client using the icon.

if the connection to enaio® server was lost due to technical events.
You can clear the auto login function by logging out via the main menu > User menu > Log out.
You can also open User menu with a click or tap on your avatar image in the main menu, if it has been set up.
Logging In and Out in Offline Mode
The desktop application of enaio® webclient supports working in offline mode (see enaio® webclient in Offline Mode) in conjunction with the Basic authentication login procedure. This means you can also launch the desktop application of enaio® webclient if the connection to the enaio® server is lost. This requires that you have already successfully logged in online in the enaio® system via desktop application of enaio® webclient and have not expressly logged out again.
You can exit the desktop application of enaio® webclient without logging out by closing the client with the icon.
enaio® webclient as a desktop application can be set up so that you will be automatically logged in to enaio® when you log in to the company network. The tool will then start up without showing the login dialog.
