The following versions are undergoing maintenance: version 10.10 and version 11.0 with the release of enaio® version 11.0 on 30 June 2023.

The following components will be discontinued with the release of enaio® version 11.0 and later:

Notes: Provides a Chromium browser session that serves as a connection between the client and a web server. This can be used to trigger actions in the client via the browser’s JavaScript interface. If a URL is configured, it is loaded once as soon as the client is started. The browser session is configured via as.cfg.

Notes: Discontinued since there is a technical successor. The software was further developed and maintained until version 10.0. As of version 10.0, only the technical successor product will continue to be developed and maintained and the enaio® appconnector will only be maintained; they will not receive new features.

Upgrade recommendation:

The DMS microservice is available as an alternative. Although this currently has a significantly reduced scope in terms of functionality, it does feature a new technology stack: a scalable, cloud-enabled microservice built for large systems. The long-term goal is to let this REST API grow steadily and to align its range of functions with those in enaio® appconnector. Upgrade recommendation:

enaio® mobile for the iOS and Android mobile platforms will be available as an alternative from version 9.0. This provides a much more expansive list of functions than the enaio® app. The only function not available is the offline editing of workflows.

Clauses for access right were introduced with version 8.0. The syntax for version 8.50 has been updated in order to simplify use and readability.

Note: E-mails saved in enaio® server using a version of enaio® Outlook Add-in (document-storage) that is older than version 9.0 contain a flag that causes the e-mails to be opened in edit mode when opened via Microsoft Outlook. MailFix searches all EML e-mails that are stored in enaio® server and resets the UNSENT flag if necessary.

Notes: This driver may cause problems with ADO connections in Unicode installations. This is because of the columns that have an NVARCHAR(MAX) data type, which were introduced in enaio® version 10.10. The data in these columns is not read from the respective tables correctly. This means that it is not possible to create queries containing these columns.

Upgrade recommendation:

The SQL Server ODBC driver must be used for Unicode systems in enaio® version 10.10 and later. This is in the system by default after a Windows installation. We also recommend using the SQL Server ODBC driver for ANSI installations, as the MS ODBC Driver for SQL Server will be discontinued as of enaio® version 11.0.
