Starting Processes with an Object Reference
Tasks to be completed can be assigned or forwarded to yuuvis® RAD client users via processes. You can also start processes both with and without an object reference in yuuvis® RAD client. Typical processes with an object reference include document releases or invoice validations. The processes with an object reference are provided by the administrator.
You can find processes with an object reference in the MORE ACTIONS area, which you can call up via the Actions menu (see The Actions Menu).
-
Select the desired object (in a hit list, a process file, or the favorites, inbox, or notifications areas in the main menu, for example). As another option, you can also switch to the folder view or the object view by double-clicking the selected object.
-
Click the title of the desired process in the Actions >More actions menu.
A start form in which you can enter further task details (task texts, deadlines, editors, etc.) may be displayed or the process start is confirmed by a message, depending on the process configuration.
The started process is shown in the Inbox in Main menu where you can continue to edit it. It may also be the case that the first work item is shown in the inboxes of other users, depending on the configuration for the process.
The progress of the started process will be shown in the process view. You open the process view via the Main menu icon > My processes.
The object selected at the start of the process is identified as being part of the process file by a Process icon in the header in the object area.
Depending on the type of process, various other work items follow, which are described in the relevant company documentation.
Messages related to tasks from processes are shown in the recipient's inbox (see Inbox). All processes without an object reference for which you are the initiator or process owner are listed here. You become the initiator when you start a process; you are the process owner as long as you have taken on a work item.
