Processes and Tasks With and Without an Object Reference
Processes in yuuvis® RAD client show work processes. A process consists of a sequence of interrelated activities and work items. Tasks to be completed can be assigned or forwarded to yuuvis® RAD client users via processes.
Processes are provided by the administrator. The administrator can configure processes for specific tasks, for example, for follow-up inquiry or release processes for follow-ups. You require the relevant permissions to start processes and edit work items.
In yuuvis® RAD, a distinction is made between processes with an object reference and processes without an object reference:
-
Processes with an object reference
are processes that refer to a specific business object, for example, a document or a folder.
You can start processes with an object reference via the Actions menu of a selected object. The relevant object is stored in the process file when the process is started. The object selected at the start of the process is identified as being part of the process file by a Process icon in the header in the object area.
-
Processes without an object reference
are processes that do not refer to a specific business object, for example, vacation requests.
You can start processes without an object reference via the Start process icon on the yuuvis® RAD bar. Depending on the type of process without an object reference, you can add documents and links to business objects of the process file at a later stage.
Messages related to tasks from processes are shown in the recipient's inbox (see Inbox).
