Creating Tasks

Tasks are parameterized operations that can be integrated with a schedule for regular execution or executed directly.

Tasks are created in yuuvis® RAD management-studio in the Operations area via the actions menu of the operations from the operation groups.

Tasks have shared general parameters for administrative e-mailing and report generation, as well as specific technical parameters.

General Parameters

Every task has general parameters for administrative e-mailing and report generation:

E-mail mode

Always Send e-mail
With info Send e-mail with detailed information
On error Only send an e-mail if an error occurred
No e-mail Do not send an e-mail

The sending of administrative e-mails is configured here:

Main menu > System > Settings > E-mail

The directory for reports is configured here:

Main menu > System > Settings > Core service > Cluster > Operations > Report directory

Export and Import

You can export and import tasks via the actions menu of the operation groups. Task data is exported without a schedule.

Export

All tasks are listed for export. You can remove any task you do not want to export from the list.

Enter a name for the export file and click Export.

The file can be stored on the workstation in the download directory.

Import

To carry out an import, specify a file with task data and then click Import.

All tasks in the file are listed.

If tasks with the same name already exist, you have the following option for each task:

  • Copy
  • The task is imported as a copy.

  • Ignore
  • The task is not imported.

  • Overwrite
  • The task is imported and will overwrite the existing task.
