Assigning Media Sets to Object Types

Work and archive media sets can be assigned to business object types. The corresponding objects are then saved there on the active media. If there are multiple assignments, the objects are saved multiple times. If there are no direct assignments, the objects are saved on the media of media sets with the 'default set' property. Cache sets are assigned to work and archive media sets. They can also be set up as default sets for media sets.

For archiving operations, media sets can be entered as a target via assigned custom values.

In yuuvis® RAD client, users with the Manage storage media functional right can view storage information on the documents in the Summary aspect.

You can integrate the assignments area for work and archive areas via the Split icon.

Assignments

Assignments are created and managed via the actions menu of the assignments area.

• Assigning object type/group

Object type/group	Selection via the hierarchical list of all object type groups and object types.
Media set	Selection via the list of all media sets of the area.

• Assigning string targets/custom values

Custom value	Selection via the list of all custom values.
Media set	Selection via the list of all media sets of the area.

String Targets/Custom Values

Custom values are strings used by archiving operations to save objects to the media sets to which the project value is assigned.

Custom values are created, managed, and assigned to a media set via the actions menu of the assignments area. They consist of just one string.
