Licenses for yuuvis® RAD

You need a license file for yuuvis® RAD. You can request license files from OPTIMAL SYSTEMS by e-mail.

A license file is permanently assigned to a yuuvis® RAD installation and is only valid there. It contains an expiration date and information on the maximum number of users and object types. It also indicates whether encryption of data on media is permitted.

The 'root' technical user can log in at any time and update the yuuvis® RAD licenses via license management, regardless of the expiration date and maximum number of users.

The corresponding information for your installation is needed to process license requests. The active license file is also required. It takes approximately one working day to process a request.

You can also request a license key. License keys can be specified during installation of yuuvis® RAD core-service. The license is then retrieved and activated via the license service.

License Types

yuuvis® RAD manages three types of licenses:

• PROVISIONAL

  A PROVISIONAL license is automatically created and integrated when installing yuuvis® RAD. A PROVISIONAL license allows you to install yuuvis® RAD, but only offers limited options in terms of configuring the user administration and schema modeling.

  A PROVISIONAL_UPDATE license is automatically created and integrated when upgrading from version 9.x to version 10.x. Compared to the PROVISIONAL license, it includes 1,000 concurrent users, 200 object types, and activated storage encryption with the same expiration date and the same number of named users.

• TEST

  TEST licenses can be requested for test and development installations.

  You need to specify the cluster ID when requesting a license before updating yuuvis® RAD from version 9.x to version 10.x.

• PRODUCTION

  PRODUCTION licenses are available on request with features as contractually agreed.

  You need to specify the cluster ID when requesting a license before updating yuuvis® RAD from version 9.x to version 10.x.

  Specify the required features in the request. The customer name is optional.
