Creating Custom Actions

yuuvis® RAD management-studio 10.x »

Custom actions are set up in yuuvis® RAD designer in the Actions area or in yuuvis® RAD management-studio in the Main menu > Custom actions.

  1. yuuvis® RAD designer: Create a new action via the context menu of the Actions area. yuuvis® RAD management-studio: Click Add in the Actions menu iconActions menu.

  2. Enter title.

    The description and selection of object types and roles are optional.

  3. Click Add.

    The action is added and displayed.

  4. Enter parameter:

    Title

    Title for the actions menu. Can be localized.

    Description

    Description of the custom action in the actions menu. Can be localized.

    Object types

    Enter object types or select via the list.

    Role

    Enter a role or select via the list.

    Unless specified, the custom action is assigned to all roles.

    Execution script Script to be run.
    Condition script Optional script that makes activation of custom actions contingent upon metadata or business object properties.

    Further information on scripting can be found in the developer area.

    The Manage scripts functional right is required.

  5. Click Save.

The custom action is saved. In yuuvis® RAD management-studio, the action is activated immediately; in yuuvis® RAD designer, it is activated as part of the project during deployment.

Localizing Custom Actions

Both the title and description can be localized via the actions menu of a custom action. Fields for every integrated language are shown in the dialogs.
