Basic Configurations

enaio® 12.0 »

Database

Database adaptations are not generally required.

Creating the user-specific list of recently edited objects may take some time in systems with a large dataset. You can significantly reduce the time period by setting up a combined index on the 'osobjhist' table.

If you have any questions, please contact the OPTIMAL SYSTEMS consulting department.

Server Configuration

Use enaio® enterprise-manager to manage the server configuration.

No further changes are needed here after successful installation.

License Management

Use enaio® enterprise-manager to manage the license system.

During installation of enaio®, license files can be transferred automatically to the database. Create new workstations according to the obtained license type (floating or seat license) and assign the required modules to them.

Some components are managed via the 'license' service. The 'license' service is preconfigured and only needs to be customized for individual components.

Object Definition

Object definitions of folder, register, and document types for enaio® are managed in the database.

Use enaio® editor to create and manage object definitions.

Create and import an object definition with enaio® editor and then perform a database adaptation.

Users and Rights

Create new users with the corresponding system roles and groups in enaio® administrator and assign them access rights to folder, register, and document types in your object definition and configure authentication.

Services

Configure the services via service-specific configuration files or via enaio® services-admin.

Call enaio® services-admin in the browser using the following URL:

<gateway-IP>:<Port>/sma

The default port is '7273.'

The service-specific configuration files are located in the \config directory of enaio® service-manager.

Client Configuration

enaio® client does not need to be additionally configured after installation if the connection parameters to enaio® server were entered in The Configuration File 'asinit.cfg' during installation.

Multilingualism

enaio® supports multilingualism on the user interface, in the object definition, and in the administrative components. German is set as default language, and English and French are also available.

enaio® editor permits you to create index data forms in several languages.

You can change the language of the user interface to English or French in enaio® client applications. The language of the object definition can be chosen independently. The administrative applications follow the language setting of enaio® client. Users of enaio® capture can set the language there.

Logging

Edit the file oxrpt.cfg to configure the logging process. It can be found in the respective installation directories of the server and the client components.

No further changes are needed here after successful installation.

Testing the Installation

After successful installation, it must be possible to start enaio® server.

Perform all configuration steps and start enaio® client.

Import data for each document type and set up respective test documents. Then search for these documents.

If more than one enaio® server has been installed, test the connection between these servers.
