To file an e-mail in enaio® using enaio® outlook-web-add-in, follow these steps

Your administrator needs to provide enaio® outlook-web-add-in for the new Outlook (see enaio® outlook-web-add-inExternal link: icon) and assign you to the group of authorized users.

enaio® outlook-web-add-in needs to be integrated in the new Outlook.

  1. In the new Outlook, select the message that you want to file in enaio®.

  2. Click the enaio® icon enaio® logo in the reading area of the selected e-mail.

If you have integrated enaio® outlook-web-add-in into the new Outlook, the logo is located in the header of the reading area. Click the Apps icon Apps icon in the header and in the menu that opens, click the enaio® icon enaio® logo if it is not shown in the header.

The enaio® outlook-web-add-in is opened and shown next to the reading area.

  3. Depending on your system configuration, you may still need to log in to enaio®. You can tell whether you are logged in or not, for example, by whether or not you can select a filing location.

To log in, click the Login icon Login icon in the uppermost add-in field.

The login form will now open.

  4. Enter your enaio® user name and the password in the corresponding fields of the login form and then click the Login button.

You will be logged into enaio® and can now file e-mails with the add-in in enaio®.

  5. Enter a search term for the filing location of the e-mail in the middle add-in field.

Once you have entered three characters, the middle field will start to show filing locations and the possible object types will appear in the lower field.

In enaio® outlook-web-add-in, the directories in enaio® that have been saved as favorites in enaio® are shown as filing locations.

  6. Select a filing location from the list of suggested filing locations.

The possible object types for filing the e-mail are shown in the lower field depending on the selected filing location.

The object types that are shown depend on the configuration of the filing location. The configuration is defined by your administrator. Ask your administrator if you do not know which object type to select. If no object type is offered, no e-mail can be filed in the selected filing location.

  7. If more than one object type is shown, select an object type and click the Send to enaio® button.

The e-mail is filed and indexed in enaio®.

The e-mail is categorized in Microsoft Outlook and is therefore identifiable as an e-mail archived in enaio®.

E-mails that have failed to be filed in enaio® are also categorized as such in Microsoft Outlook. If further filing attempt is successful, the categorization in Microsoft Outlook is automatically changed accordingly.
