Recognition

Recognition subprograms detect barcodes or characters (OCR) and create a database table. The database table contains the assignments of recognized barcodes or characters to images and to indexing fields which have been created during configuration. Even if barcode or character recognition is not performed, a database table will have to be created using a subprogram.

Recognition always runs automatically regardless of the subprogram used. The program flow does not require user action.

Start a batch which is assigned to a recognition subprogram by double-clicking the batch icon, by selecting Edit from the context menu, or by clicking Edit in the menu ribbon. The subprogram will start and the batch will then be assigned to the next subprogram.

If you use the AXICSCAN subprogram for scanning, it performs both scanning and recognition. The database table is also set up. The batch can instantly be forwarded from scanning to validation.
