Default Actions
Your administrator can configure a default action for document objects. The default action gives you an alternative method to access some functions from the context menu.
The default action is available for entries in object lists (such as hit lists) or for object references.

The index data form of the document is opened for editing.

The index data form of the document is opened for viewing.

The document file is checked out and downloaded.

In the case of image documents (color/grayscale images, etc.), a dialog opens where you can edit the content.

In the case of W-Documents, the document is downloaded immediately.

A warning message will be shown if the document is already checked out.

The document file is made available for download.
If a document contains multiple document files, these will be combined in a ZIP file during the download process.

The document file is made available as a PDF for download.
In the case of image documents, each image is additionally marked with a watermark.
The following applies to all actions for which the document file is offered for download: In the case of documents without content, or if the user lacks the necessary rights, the index data form of the document is opened for editing.
You can trigger a default action as follows:

Table view
Double-clicking an entry in the hit list or in the favorites area, or an object reference on the desktop, while in the
Table view.

Card view
If you drag your mouse over a card in the
Card view, then a round action area with an icon for the default action will be displayed. Clicking this icon will trigger the default action.
If a default action has not been configured for the clicked document, then the index data form of that document will open. You can then edit or only read the index data depending the rights that have been assigned to you.
The following applies if you are using enaio® mobile:
Default actions are not supported on tablets and smartphones in enaio® mobile and enaio® webclient.
