Importing an Object Definition

enaio® editor 10.10 »

When importing an object definition file, the active object definition is replaced by the object definitions (including the object type relations) from the object definition file.

Select Import object definition from the Database menu.

A confirmation dialog will be displayed.

Please note that you cannot undo an import process. For security reasons, always save the old object definition as a file before carrying out an import operation. In the confirmation dialog you can delete the access rights for the archive objects, which were assigned in enaio® administrator, at the same time.

You can select a file in the file selection dialog.

The imported object definition is shown as the active definition in the workspace. It only has to be saved if you edit the object definitions.

After importing an object definition you will need to customize the database.

Make sure that structure trees are managed using their own files that are accessible. Check whether internal names contain special characters which are not valid in the active version.

If you have opened the object definition file, you can import this file into the database via Import object definition in the context menu of the object definition file in the workspace.
