Icons

Folder and register types as well as the dialog element 'Button' have standard icons assigned; document types have module-dependent standard icons.

You can assign any other icon than the default icon to the folder/register/document types and buttons.

If you click on the Icon row in the properties window of an object, then the Icon assignment dialog will open.

Icons are managed in groups. You can assign icons to the user-defined groups but not to the system groups.

Loading Icons

You can create your own icons or extract them from libraries (*.dll) or programs (*.exe). Bitmaps (*.bmp) can also be loaded. They will be converted. Icons are saved in the database so that they can be accessed from all workstations.

Follow these process steps to load an icon:

  1. Click the Icon row in the properties window of an object type.
  2. Select one of the groups with the addition 'user-defined' from the list.
  3. Click the Load button.
  4. Via the file selection dialog select an icon, library, or program.

The icon or the included icons will be displayed.

  1. Select an icon and click Apply.
  2. The icon will be added to the group. The names of the icons are automatically managed.
  3. Click Save.

The icon can be assigned to an archive object and will be saved in the database with an ID when you save the object definition.
