enaio® fulltext

enaio® 10.10 »

The prerequisite for full-text indexing is the installation of Elasticsearch and the configuration of 'Search' and 'Index' Services.

Full-text integration for object types is configured in enaio® editor and enaio® enterprise-manager.

The full-text integration of image document types requires the configuration of the ABBYY FineReader OCR component.

Configurations in enaio® editor

Indicate folder, register, and document types to be fully indexed in the object definition in enaio® editor.

The properties dialog of an object type allows you to determine whether or not to full-text index objects of the type. All dialog elements of the objects receive the property 'Full-text export.' You can enable and disable this property for each element individually.

All objects of an object type being set to 'Full-text indexing – yes – automated' will automatically be fully indexed.

When setting an object type to 'Full-text indexing – yes – not automated,' the automatic action 'Full-text export on object level' will only index with full text all objects of this type.

Subsequent indexing uses the automated 'Full-text indexing' action.

Reference documents are also full-text indexed when the object type is indexed.

Index data changes of cross-type reference documents will be updated automatically, but content modifications will not.

Document types will not be indexed if the property 'Encrypted filing' has been activated. Documents can be indexed if they are encrypted by enaio® server.

Database adjustment is not required when activating the property 'Full-text indexing' for a document type in enaio® editor.

Configurations in enaio® enterprise-manager

When administering enaio® server using enaio® enterprise-manager, enter 'Lucene' as the type of the full text database in the Server properties > Category: Full-text.

Furthermore decide whether documents or the index data, or both, will be indexed. Enter the full-text export directory and define whether full-text files for OCR are temporarily saved in order to prevent conflicts caused by multiple file access. You also have to enter a directory.

Then specify the following settings:

  • URL
  • Web service URL of the full-text engine.

  • Maximum number of hits
  • The maximum number of hits that can be returned by a full-text query. The default value (1000) is high and can be reduced.

  • OCR call
  • Specifies whether OCR processing is carried out before image documents are transferred.

  • Full-text search server
  • Address and port of the 'search' microservice In most cases, the 'search' microservice automatically enters this data here when it starts.

Check the entry and add this registry entry if it does not already exist: VTX / LUC / SearchServiceURL

If several enaio® server are integrated, the address and port must be entered manually in the settings of all other enaio® server.
