Inbox

yuuvis® RAD client 8.x »

The Inbox contains all messages about subscriptions, follow-ups, and tasks from processes.

You can open your inbox by clicking the Inbox icon Inbox icon or via the Main menu icon Main menu icon > Inbox on the yuuvis® RAD bar. A number on the Inbox icon Inbox icon indicates how many messages are currently in the inbox. If there are new messages about subscriptions, follow-ups, and tasks from processes in the inbox, then a Windows notification message will inform you that new information has arrived in your inbox if you are logged in to yuuvis® RAD client. You can view the inbox by clicking the Windows notification message. When using this feature for the first time, the user must grant permission for being notified via the Windows operating system.

When returning to the inbox, the last focused task is focused again. If the task is no longer available, the first task in the message list will be focused.

On the left-hand side of the inbox you will find the message list. The details of a selected message are displayed in the center, in the task area, and on the right-hand side of the inbox in the object area. The following functions are available:

Filtering Messages

With just a few clicks, you can limit the messages shown to those about subscriptions, follow-ups, or processes by using the Filter icon Filter in the message list. Messages about subscriptions are indicated by a Create subscription subscription icon in the message list. Messages about follow-ups are indicated by a Follow-up icon Follow-up icon in the message list. Messages about processes are indicated by a Process icon Process icon in the message list in the inbox. Tasks assigned to you as a substitute are labeled as a  Substitution  in the message list.

The icons of the entries in the message list can be adapted to the specific system.

Messages About Subscriptions or Follow-ups

If you select a message about subscriptions or follow-ups from the list, the details of the selected object are shown in the task area/object area.

You can edit the selected object using the Actions menu iconActions menu, the Edit icon Open document file icon, and the Metadata object aspect in the header of the object area. The best way to access the object’s filing location is to use the Open in context icon Open in folder action or Open icon Open in the Actions menu iconActions menu.

You can confirm notifications about follow-ups and subscriptions in the task area, thus removing them from the inbox.

Messages from Processes

If you select a message about a process work item from the list, the following aspects are shown in the task area: Task, History, and Process file. If a process contains record objects, these are shown in the object area. You can edit the selected record object using the Actions menu iconActions menu, the Edit icon Open document file icon, and the Metadata object aspect in the header of the object area.

The user is only shown the objects in the object area which they are authorized to read. It may therefore happen that the objects of the process file are not displayed to the user in the object area.

You can edit and forward tasks from process work items directly in the task area.

If several recipients are assigned to one process work item, you can view the list of recipients by clicking the Down arrow icon Down arrow icon in the task area. Before you can process and forward a task with multiple recipients, you first need to accept it. To do this, click the Accept task button. The list of recipients is no longer shown and the other recipients can no longer see the process work item in their inbox.

Adjusting the Layout

You can change the layout of the areas using the Undock icon Configure view areas icon (see Hiding and Undocking Areas). You can also change the arrangement of the aspect areas to your liking (see Object Aspects).

Aspect areas can be hidden by the administrator. As a result, the functions described may not be available to you.
