Filtering Hit Lists

You can filter the search results using the Main menu icon Menu in the header of a column to improve order in extensive hit lists.

To filter a hit list column by text, follow these steps

  1. Move the mouse to the desired column over the column header

    A Main menu icon Menu icon is shown in the column header.

  2. Click the Main menu icon Menu icon.

    The customization menu for the hit list appears.

  3. Click the Filter icon Filter icon in the menu.

    The tab with the filter settings appears. There will be further filter customization menus shown, in addition to a text input field, depending on the type of metadata column.

  4. Enter text in the text input field to use for filtering or make the relevant settings in the other filter customization menus.

The filter will be applied to the appropriate column when the filter is adjusted.

You can set up several filters in different columns at the same time. You can also remove filters by clicking the Refresh iconRefresh icon in the header of the hit list or by pressing F5.

Filter settings can only be used once for the current hit list. The filter settings will be lost when you switch from the hit list to another view (e.g., to the folder view).
