Editing Saved Searches

yuuvis® RAD client 8.x »

If you have created a saved search request yourself, you can edit the saved search parameters and save them again. There are several ways you can edit saved searches. You can edit saved searches in the Saved searches area in the Main menu icon Main menu and in the search dialog.

Editing Saved Searches in the Main Menu

In particular, you can modify the search criteria of the metadata search in the Main menu icon Main menu > Saved searches. For example, you can:

  • change the name of the saved search request,

  • show and hide the dynamic search fields on the search mask of the saved search request, or

  • remove or change settings that limit the global search to metadata or to document content, or

  • modify the search criteria in the search fields of the edit menu for the saved search request.

Editing Saved Searches in the Search Dialog

You can adjust the search criteria of the object properties, in particular, in the search dialog (see The Search Dialog) such as:

  • change the search criteria of the object type,

  • modify the search criteria based on the creator and creation date,

  • adjust the search criteria based on editor and editing period, or

  • change the search criteria based on file type, file name, or file size.

If you received a shared search request (see Share Saved Searches), you are not permitted to edit, save, delete, add to favorites, or share with another user.

The order of the fields in the search form corresponds to the order in which they were created in the yuuvis® RAD designer.
