Business objects in yuuvis® RAD can include document files.To edit a document file, open the file on the local workstation in the application assigned there.
You can specify in the settings in yuuvis® RAD client whether a document lock is enabled or not when opening document files via the 
Actions menu > 
Open document file or the Open document file icon in the header in the object area (see Opening and Editing a Document File).
To enable or disable the document lock, follow these steps
- Click your profile picture on the yuuvis® RAD bar, then click the Settings button.
- Select the desired option in the Lock document on open area:
Enabled
Automatically locks document files every time they are opened.
Disabled
Never locks document files when they are opened.
Always ask
Shows a confirmation dialog every time the file is opened, prompting the user whether the document file should be locked.
The confirmation dialog is only shown when the document file is opened via the
Actions menu > Open document file . The user is not prompted when opening document files via the Open document file icon in the header in the object area.
