The Actions Menu

Various actions are available to you for editing business objects . These object-related actions and processes are offered to you in the Actions menu . The actions menu offers you a different selection of actions, depending on the context and your permissions.

The actions menu is available for you in different areas in yuuvis® RAD client, such as in hit lists, in the inbox, and in the object view. The suggested actions always refer to the selected object. If you select several objects in an object list (such as a hit list) and then click the Actions menu in the area window of the object list, you can apply an action to several objects.

If you selected more than one object for an action, then it may happen that certain actions cannot be applied to all selected objects. In this case, a number on the button of an action in the actions menu will indicate how many objects will be included in the action.

The following actions are available for use when working with the business objects:

• Download document file

  Downloads the document file of one or more marked objects to the local file system in the original format or as a PDF file.

• Open

  Opens the object view of the selected object.

• Show versions

  Opens an overview of all versions of the selected object. You can mark two versions in the version list to compare them side by side. The action is not offered if the selected object only has one version.

• Send e-mail

  Creates a new e-mail message in your local e-mail application and inserts links for one or more marked objects. Please note that the recipient must have permission to read the objects.

• Copy to clipboard

  Copies URL links from one or more marked objects to the Windows clipboard. Please note that the recipient of the link must be authorized to read the object.
