Configuring Hit Lists
You can adjust the hit list’s appearance in the Configuration menu and save it for future searches.
You can save the following adjustments in the configuration menu:
- the columns that are shown/hidden in a hit list,
- the order in which columns are shown, and
- the columns that are to be pinned or sorted.
To do this, click the Configuration menu icon in the header of a hit list.
The hit list column configuration menu appears. The current columns area contains all the columns that are shown in a hit list. The available columns area contains all the columns that are still available and are not shown in the hit list.

Click and hold the titles of the desired columns in the available columns area.

Drag and drop the column entry onto the current columns area.
The column will be moved to the desired location in the current columns area.

Click Save.
The column is now shown in the hit list.

Click and hold the title of the desired column in the current columns area.

Drag and drop the column entry onto the available columns area.
The column will be moved to the available columns area.

Click Save.
The column will no longer be shown in the hit list.

Click and hold the title of the desired column in the current columns area.

Drag and drop the column entry onto the desired position in the current columns area.
The column will be moved to the desired location.

Click Save.
The columns will be shown in the corresponding order in the hit list.

Click Sort in the title of the desired column in the current columns area.

Up arrow is shown in the button.
The column will be sorted alphabetically or numerically in ascending order.

Click Sort again.

Down arrow is shown in the button.
The column will be sorted alphabetically or numerically in descending order.

Click Save.
The columns will be sorted accordingly in the hit list.
If there is no configuration for sorting a column, the hits are listed according to relevance. Objects that were recently changed and objects with several versions have a higher degree of relevance for the sorting.

Click Pin on the desired column title in the current columns area.
The Pin button is enabled for the corresponding columns.

Click Save.
The columns will be pinned accordingly in the hit list.
Users with the Edit profiles functional right can configure and save a standard arrangement for hit list columns.
The Save as default button is available to authorized users on the hit list column configuration menu.
Clicking Save as default will save the configured column arrangement as default and is available to all other users as a default column configuration if they use the Reset to default feature.
Click Reset to default to reset the configuration to a default arrangement. If no default arrangement has been created and saved by a user, the layout in accordance with the object type definition will be used as the default.
Users with the Edit profiles functional right can configure and save a standard arrangement for hit list columns.
The column configuration saved in the configuration menu will be used for each new hit list.
