Exporting Hit Lists
The results of a search will be displayed in a hit list of all objects that were found. You can export the content of a hit list and further edit it using an external program (Microsoft Excel, for example). You can choose from the following export options:
-
Export parts of the hit list
You can use the standard Windows commands Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to export one or more lines of the hit list. Only the data that is displayed in the hit list will be exported. If necessary, change the display via the configuration menu in the header area of the hit list.
-
Export the entire hit list
You can use the
Export as CSV file function in the hit list header to export the entire hit list. The exported data is output according to the settings in the hit list configuration menu. Sorting and other adjustments made in the hit list view, such as filters and hidden columns, are ignored during export. The data fields (columns) are separated with semicolons. Separation can be customized by your administrator.
-
Select one or more objects from your hit list and press Ctrl+ C.
You can mark hit list lines by
-
holding the Ctrl key and then clicking one or more individual hits,
-
holding the Shift key ⇧ and clicking the first and last object in a sequence of successive hits.
The contents of the hit list will be copied to the Windows clipboard.
-
- Switch to an external program (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and press Ctrl+ V.
The contents of the Window clipboard will be pasted.
The table header is not exported. If the destination file is a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel, the rows and columns of the hit list will be retained.
The exported data has the same format as in the Elasticsearch database. Therefore, the format of date, datetime and decimal fields follows the international standard. This means that the decimal separator is a period and dates follow the notation YYYY-MM-TT, regardless of the language settings in yuuvis® RAD client.
