Object Versions
If metadata is modified in a business object in yuuvis® RAD client or the document file is edited, deleted, or inserted, then new versions are created of the business object. The older versions are retained.
All versions of an object can be managed in the version view. The version view shows a list of all versions. The content preview in the version view shows the selected version.
In the version view, you can compare the content or metadata of two versions and restore older versions of a business object.

Select a business object with multiple versions (in a hit list, in a process file, or in the favorites, inbox, or notifications areas in the main menu, for example).
As another option, you can also switch to the folder view or the object view by double-clicking the selected business object.

Open the version view of the selected business object by

navigating to the Summary aspect area and clicking the linked version number in the Version line.
The link to the version view is not offered if the business object has only one version.

clicking one of the linked version entries in the History aspect area.

clicking Actions >GENERAL > Show versions in the actions menu.
The Show versions action is not offered if the business object has only one version.

In the versions list of the version view, select two versions that you want to compare.
In the object area, the content preview for both versions is displayed side by side.
You now have the option of comparing the aspect areas of the different versions. If you enable the Synchronous view function in the header area of the object area, the same aspect areas will always be displayed when you compare versions.
The Changes tab in the content preview provides further information for comparing the versions. The left area of the tab displays the field names of the metadata that has been modified. The right area of the tab shows what exactly has been changed or what values have been modified. The Plus icon in the change entries indicates metadata that has been added, the Minus icon indicates metadata that has been removed, and the Double chevron icon indicates that changes have been made to metadata.
Depending on the configuration of your yuuvis® RAD system, metadata may not differ from version to version.

Select the desired older version of your object in the version view.

Click Actions >GENERAL > Restore version.
If you have selected multiple objects, the selected version that is focused will be restored.
A copy of the selected version will be created as the most recent, active version.
If you want to leave the version view in order to return to the filing location of the object, it is best to use the Open in folder or Open action in the Actions menu. The actions are available if only one version is focused.
Aspect areas can be hidden by the administrator. As a result, the functions described may not be available to you.
