Moving Document Files
You can move document files to a different filing location in yuuvis® RAD client using the Cut action or the Add function.
- You have permission to edit the objects.
- The object type can be added to the destination filing location.
-
Select the desired document file (in a hit list, a process file, or the favorites, inbox, or notifications areas in the main menu, for example). As another option, you can also switch to the folder view or the object view by double-clicking the selected document file.
-
Click Actions >GENERAL > Cut.
The document file will be moved to the clipboard.
A Cut icon with the number of objects moved to the clipboard will be shown on the yuuvis® RAD bar.
-
Switch to the folder in which you want to move the document file.
You can also open the new filing location in another browser window.
-
Click the Cut icon on the yuuvis® RAD bar.
The menu of the yuuvis® RAD clipboard appears. All objects on the clipboard are listed in the menu.
-
Click Insert.
If an object cannot be inserted into a folder based on the object type definition or your rights, then a corresponding message is shown after calling up the action.
You cannot reinsert a cut object at the same filing location. In this case, the Insert button is disabled. As another option, you can cancel moving the object or simply remove the object from the yuuvis® clipboard.
The document file will be inserted at the new filing location.
A list of recently added objects is opened in the folder view of the new filing location and the numbers of the objects available in the folder is adjusted in the structure tree.
The Cut icon on the yuuvis® RAD bar disappears.
If the cut objects are not inserted anywhere, they remain on the yuuvis® RAD clipboard until
- new objects are copied to the yuuvis® RAD clipboard,
- new objects to be moved are cut, or
- yuuvis® RAD client is closed.
