Filing Locations of Object Types
The filing locations where object types can be contained must be specified.
The following rules apply:
- The root, as the highest level of the filing structure, can be allowed as the filing location for all object types.
- Only folder types that are part of the same group are permitted as a filing location, in addition to root, for document types that belong to a group.
- All folder types are permitted as a filing location for cross-context document types that belong to a group.
Information about filing locations of object types can be changed later, even if business objects of the types involved have already been created. If the newly entered information is different than the information in the current dataset, you will be shown a warning during modeling. The amended information about filing locations will apply to business objects created in the future; the dataset up to now will not be impacted by the changes.
