Creating Project Rooms

enaio® coLab 12.0

enaio® coLab project rooms can only be created on the basis of an enaio® folder or register using coLabdashlet in an enaio® client.

The coLab dashlet is supported by enaio® client, enaio® webclient , and enaio® webclient as a desktop application. This does not apply to enaio® mobile or to mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones, however.

To create a project room using the coLab dashlet, follow these steps

The coLab dashlet must have been installed on your enaio® client by your administrator. Please contact your enaio® administrator if you have any questions.

Start an enaio® client.
In enaio®, select the folder or register you want to share with a coLab project room.
Open the dashlet in enaio® client via the dashlet icon in the Menüband-Registerkarte Ansicht and in enaio® webclient or enaio® webclient as a desktop application via the dashlet icon in the content preview.

You will be shown the creation form for project rooms if you have selected a folder or register that has not yet been released for sharing in enaio® coLab.

If you have selected a folder or register that has already been released for sharing in enaio® coLab, the project room home screen associated with the selected folder or register is shown. In this case, click the Create new project room button in the header of the project room home screen.

Complete the fields of the creation form for projects rooms.

Fields indicated by an asterisk ("*") are mandatory.
- Enter the name and description of the project room.
  
  You can enter either up to 255 or 1,000 characters including spaces in the Project name and Description fields. The numbers above the input field indicate the number of characters you can enter and how many characters you have already entered.
- Specify the document query depth in the Query depth field (see also Changing Query Depths).
Save your entries by clicking the Create button.

You automatically become the owner of the new project room when you create a project room.

The project room is now created.

The tab of the General icon General settings area is shown in the dashlet.

The folder or register selected for the project room creation is marked as a coLab object in the directory structure in the enaio® client.

Highlighting of coLab Folders and Registers in enaio®

Folders and registers that have been shared with external users in enaio® with the help of the coLab dashlet (project rooms) are specially highlighted in the enaio® clients.

Icon	Description
/¹	In an object list (e.g., in hit lists or at a filing location), it indicates a folder or a register located in a coLab project room. The icon is displayed in the /¹ Link static column.
	In a register tree, it indicates a folder or a register located in a coLab project room. This icon is only displayed in enaio® client and not in enaio® webclient, enaio® webclient as a desktop application, or enaio® mobile.
/¹	In an object list (e.g., in hit lists or at a filing location), it indicates a folder or a register located in a coLab project room and that also contains additional links. The icon is displayed in the /¹ Link static column.
	In a register tree, it indicates a folder or a register located in a coLab project room and that also contains additional links. This icon is only displayed in enaio® client and not in enaio® webclient, enaio® webclient as a desktop application, or enaio® mobile.
¹ The second, single-colored icon stands for the marking in enaio® webclient and in enaio® webclient as a desktop application.
