Changing User Data

In your user profile, you have the option of changing your user name and the e-mail address stored in enaio® coLab.

  1. Click the round user icon in the coLab header.

    The user menu now opens.

  2. Click the User profile icon User profile icon in the user menu.

    The user profile appears.

  3. Click the Change user data icon Change user data icon behind the user name in the user menu.

    The Update personal information dialog opens.

  4. Change the user name and e-mail address in the fields of the dialog.

    The user name and e-mail address are generally automatically populated using the information from the user account on which the registration is based.

    Users who log in with their social media account and whose e-mail address has not been transferred have the option of adding an e-mail address here in order to be notified of assigned tasks or uploaded files.

    Users who log in with a one-time password are given the opportunity to enter their own user name when they log in for the first time.

  5. Click the Save iconSave icon of the dialog to save the changes.

    This action closes the Update personal information dialog.

    The changes to the user data will be applied.

  6. Click the Close - icon Close icon of the user profile.

    The user profile will be closed.

  7. Click the Close - icon Close icon of the user menu.

    The user menu will be closed.

The changed user data is shown in enaio® coLab on the corresponding page.

The e-mail address that was changed is used for notifications of assigned tasks or uploaded files.

The user name is shown in the project member list and in the message list on the project overview page. It is also used when assigning tasks and as an abbreviation in the round user icon in the coLab header. The new user name will be shown in these places instead of the previous one when the user name is changed.

The e-mail address stored in enaio® coLab is used for the notification of assigned tasks or uploaded files. Notifications of assigned tasks or uploaded files are sent to the new e-mail address if the e-mail address in the user profile changes.

If you change the e-mail address stored in enaio® coLab in your user data, the e-mail address used during registration or initial login will remain valid for logging in to enaio® coLab.
