If your system is configured accordingly, you can use the optional enaio® office-365-dashlet to edit Microsoft Office documents in enaio® coLab.

  • The administrator has configured the coLab system accordingly for the use of enaio® office-365-dashlet.

  • coLab users also need to be enaio® users in order to use enaio® office-365-dashlet or to be able to edit Microsoft Office 365 documents together with the dashlet.

  • coLab users require the editing right for files in Replace file icon Replace file. Project members with the member and owner member roles have this authorization.

  • enaio® office-365-dashlet users need to have an Microsoft Office 365 account, including with their login credentials.

The dashlet is shown in the preview area of the Files icon Files view once you have selected a Microsoft Office document in the directory structure. The dashlet will offer you different Microsoft functions, depending on whether you have selected a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file. You will find a brief description below. You do not need an Microsoft Office 365 account to use these functions, with the exception of 'Edit.' Consult the respective help guides in Microsoft Office 365 Link extern - Symbol if you want to learn more about the functions and how to use them in Microsoft Office 365.

Icon Function Description
Office 365 – Word – Edit – Icon Edit Open the Word document by clicking the Office 365 - Word - Edit - icon Edit icon in the header of enaio® office-365-dashlet.
Office 365 – Word – Print – Icon Print The Word document will be converted to a PDF file that you can open and print when you click the Office 365 - Word Print - icon Print icon in the header of enaio® office-365-dashlet. Alternatively, you can also use Ctrl+P.
Office 365 – Word – Search – Icon Search You can search the Word document by clicking the Office 365 - Word - Find - icon Find icon in the Office 365 – Word – More commands – Icon dropdown menu of enaio® office-365-dashlet.
Office 365 – Word – Translate – Icon Translate You can translate the content of the Word document into various languages by clicking the Office 365 - Word - Translate - icon Translate icon in the Office 365 – Word – More commands – Icon dropdown menu of enaio® office-365-dashlet.
  Copy If you mark text passages in the content preview in enaio® office-365-dashlet, you can copy them to the Windows clipboard and insert them into documents or applications by pressing Ctrl+C. The copy function is available in the dashlet via the context menu.
  Zoom If you click the percentage in the footer of enaio® office-365-dashlet, the Zoom mode menu opens and you can change the scaling of the content preview in the dashlet.
Icon Function Description
Office 365 – Excel – Edit – Icon Edit

Click the Office 365 - Excel - Viewing - icon Viewing icon in the header of enaio® office-365-dashlet and then the Office 365 - Word - Edit - icon Editing icon in the dropdown menu that appears if you want to edit the Excel file. Alternatively, you can double-click in the Excel spreadsheet and then click the Edit workbook button in the error message that appears.
Office 365 – Word – Search – Icon Search There is a search input field available in the header of enaio® office-365-dashlet, which you can use to search the content of the Excel file. The search function is available in the dashlet via the context menu. Alternatively, you can also use Ctrl+F.
  Print Pressing Ctrl+P will call up the Print menu of enaio® office-365-dashlet that you can use to convert the Excel file to a PDF file that you can open and print.
  Copy If you mark text passages in the content preview in enaio® office-365-dashlet, you can copy them to the Windows clipboard and insert them into documents or applications by pressing Ctrl+C. The copy function is available in the dashlet via the context menu.

Office 365 – PowerPoint – Start slide show – Icon Start slide show You can call up the PowerPoint presentation directly from enaio® office-365-dashlet for a presentation by clicking the Office 365 - Power Point - Start slide show - icon Start slide show icon in the header of the dashlet. The same function is available in the footer of the dashlet.
Office 365 – PowerPoint – Print to PDF – Icon Print to PDF The PowerPoint document will be converted to a PDF file that you can open and print when you click the Office 365 - Power Point - Print to PDF - icon Print to PDF icon in the header of enaio® office-365-dashlet. Alternatively, you can also use Ctrl+P.

Click the Office 365 - Power Point - Comments - icon Comments icon in the header of enaio® office-365-dashlet and then the Office 365 - Power Point - Add comments - icon Add comments icon in the dropdown menu that appears if you want to edit the PowerPoint presentation.
Office 365 – PowerPoint – Scroll – Icon Scroll

If you click the scroll icons (Office 365 – PowerPoint – Scroll left – Icon, Office 365 – PowerPoint – Scroll right – Icon) in the footer of enaio® office-365-dashlet, you can scroll through the PowerPoint presentation. Alternatively, you can also click the displayed slide in the dashlet to scroll. If you click the slide numbering between the scroll icons, you can select the slide to show from the menu that appears.
Office 365 – PowerPoint – Notes – Icon Notes If you click the Office 365 - Power Point - Notes - icon NOTES icon in the footer of enaio® office-365-dashlet, you can view in the dashlet the notes from the PowerPoint presentation.
Office 365 – PowerPoint – Editing view – Icon Editing view Open the PowerPoint document by clicking the Office 365 - Power Point - Editing view - icon Editing view icon in the footer of enaio® office-365-dashlet.
Office 365 – PowerPoint – Reading view – Icon Reading view Open the reading view of the PowerPoint document by clicking the Office 365 - Power Point - Reading view - icon Reading view icon in the footer of enaio® office-365-dashlet.
