To use this function, users require the system role Client: Show favorites .

Using the favorites function, you tag objects in enaio® client (folders, registers, documents) that you access frequently and want to open in a few, simple clicks. Favorite objects are marked with a Menu ribbon Start+ Folder - Favorites icon Favorites icon in object lists (e.g., in hit lists, in a folder window, in the history, or in the inboxes).

Favorites Area

All objects you have marked as favorites are displayed in the 'Favorites' area. The 'Favorites' area cannot be viewed by any other user. Open the area by clicking the Menu ribbon Start - Favorites - icon Favorites icon in the Start ribbon tab. In the ENAIO ribbon tab, you can use Settings > Auto to configure that the Favorites pane will always be open when enaio® client is launched; this provides you with easy access to your most important documents, tabs, and folders.

Creating Favorites

enaio® client offers the following options for adding objects to your favorites:

  • via the context menu

    If you mark an object in an object list, you can add it to your favorites using the Add to favorites icon Add to favorites function found in the context menuActions.

  • via the ribbon

    If you mark an object in an object list, then you can add it to your favorites by clicking the Add to favorites icon Add to favorites icon in the Actions ribbon group. The favorites function is available in various ribbon tabs (e.g., in the Hit ribbon tab).

  • via drag-and-drop

    If the Favorites area is open, you can ass documents, folders, and tabs to your favorites by dragging and dropping the objects there.

Favorites in other enaio® Clients

The user can also see the favorites created in enaio® client under their favorites in enaio® webclient, in enaio® webclient as a desktop application, and on mobile devices in enaio® mobile. Favorites created in enaio® webclient, in enaio® webclient as a desktop application, and in enaio® mobile are also synchronized with enaio® client.

Favorites in enaio® client are not only synchronized with favorites in enaio® webclient, in enaio® webclient as a desktop application, and on mobile devices in enaio® mobile, they also serve as a basis for working in offline mode in enaio® webclient as a desktop application and in enaio® mobile (see enaio® webclient in offline mode External link icon).
