Copying Documents Across Cabinets
You require the system role of the same name in order to copy documents from one cabinet to another.
A document can be copied from a hit list, filing location, or portfolio to another cabinet. To do this, drag the document into an open folder window or register window in another cabinet while holding down the left mouse button and the Ctrl key. If you drag the document into the other cabinet while holding down the right mouse button, you can also select Create copy here from the context menu to create a copy of the document.
When copying across cabinets, you usually have to assign a new object type to the copied document in the new cabinet. If there are several document types to which the document could be assigned, you will need to select a document type. If there are index data fields with the same internal name, the data is transferred from these fields. Data from fields that cannot be assigned to other fields will not be transferred.
The index data form opens when making copies. Confirm transferred index data or add more if needed.
