Filing Documents from Microsoft Teams

If your enaio® system is configured accordingly, you can use enaio® integration-for-microsoft-teams to file documents from Microsoft Teams directly in enaio®.

You can file documents from Teams channels, chats, or meetings in enaio®. The documents need to be included in a post or message in Microsoft Teams. All attachments in a post or message are always filed as separate files in enaio®. Embedded images are treated like attachments.

Documents that have been stored under the Files tab in Microsoft Teams cannot be filed in enaio® with the app.

To file documents from Microsoft Teams in enaio®, follow these steps

  • enaio® client must be set up to work with Microsoft Teams.

  • You will need a Microsoft Teams account.

  • The enaio® app needs to have previously been activated in the corresponding Teams channels, chats, or meetings (the enaio® tab is shown in the corresponding areas) in Microsoft Teams.

  1. Open the Further options Further options menu in the post or message with the document that you want to file in enaio®.

  2. Click File attachment in enaio® File attachment in enaio® in the Further options Further options menu.

    If the application is not shown in the menu, you can open the More actions > entry and integrate the MS Teams - enaio® icon enaio® app with just a few mouse clicks. You can find information on how to add an app to Microsoft Teams in Microsoft Teams External link – icon’s product help.

    Microsoft Teams attempts to connect to enaio®.

  3. You can skip this step if you are already logged in to enaio®.

    If you are not yet logged in to enaio®, the login dialog will be shown.

    Enter your login data and then click the Login button.

The document is saved to the filing tray of enaio®.

You can now switch to enaio® client into the filing tray (see Creating Documents in the Filing Tray) and continue editing the document there.

enaio® supports file extensions containing more than ten characters and Unicode characters.
Please note that the maximum supported file size depends on a number of a different factors. This includes the file type, the file content, the specific use case, and the client used.
