Integration of enaio® directory-sync

enaio® directory-sync is integrated and configured in enaio® administrator as part of an action sequence consisting of 'Export users/groups' and 'Import users/groups'. enaio® directory-sync is integrated via the Start external program via command line action within the action sequence.

The Start external program via command line action – axacexec.dll – needs to be integrated via the 'Additions' tab in enaio® administrator.

The action sequence can be executed from enaio® administrator or via enaio® start after configuration.

Action Sequence

Set up an action sequence consisting of the following actions in enaio® administrator:

• Export users/groups
• Start external program via command line
• Import users/groups

'Export Users/Groups' Action

Use the 'Export users/groups' action to export the user and group data from the enaio® user administration to an export file. This export file is imported into the enaio® user administration via the 'Import users/groups' action after it has been synchronized by enaio® directory-sync.

'Start External Program via Command Line' Action

When configuring the action sequence, enaio® directory-sync is integrated via the 'Start external program via command line' action after the 'Export user/group' action and before the 'Import user/group' action.

When the administration components are installed, enaio® directory-sync – enaio-directory-sync.exe – is copied to the enaio-directory-sync directory.

Parameters

Parameter	Value	Function
-c		Opens enaio® directory-sync in configuration mode. Without this parameter, enaio® directory-sync is executed.
-configFile	"config.xml"	Optional: Configuration file that is opened when enaio® directory-sync is started. Specification with path if the configuration file is not in the application directory.
-export	"directory name"	Optional: Directory that is created when enaio® directory-sync is started. The configuration file and the export files are created there. Specification with path if the directory is not in the application directory.

The Check program return code option must be activated.

'Import Users/Groups' Action

Use the 'Import users/groups' action to import the user and group data synchronized by enaio® directory-sync as an import file into the enaio® user administration.
