Creating E-Mails

E-mails and e-mail elements are managed as followsenaio®in the format:

  • enaio® Add-Ins

    Add-ins are available for Microsoft Outlook and GroupWise that allow users to create e-mails from the application at a location in enaio®.

    • enaio® Outlook Add-In NG

    • enaio® for-outlook

    • enaio® GroupWise Add-On NG

    The configuration for importing e-mails is performed via the 'mailstorage' service.

  • Drag-and-drop from Outlook into enaio® client

    Drag and drop an e-mail from a location is set by default.

    This function can be disabled or expanded in the as.cfg file located in the \etc directory of the data directory:

    [Mail]
    DRAGDROPMODE=1

    The default value '1' allows the user to import an e-mail using drag and drop. The value '2' allows the user to import multiple e-mails at a time. Set '0' to disable the function.

  • Outlook interface

    In enaio® client, you can create a new e-mail from a location with Microsoft Outlook and automatically generate it at the location when it is sent.

    The e-mail is categorized as 'enaio® archived' in Microsoft Outlook.

    To use this function, you will need to activate Send e-mail with Outlook under profile administration; the user can also do this under Settings > Other in enaio® client.

    This function can be disabled via the file as.cfg in the \etc directory of the data directory:

    [SYSTEM]
    NEWOUTLOOKMAIL=0

    The default is 1 (function enabled).

    enaio® webclient does not support this function.

  • From an administrative perspective, e-mails can be imported into enaio® using components such as enaio® mail-archive-service or enaio® mailarchiver.
