Service Release 1 / Hotfixes 1 and 2

enaio® webclient 11.0 »

The Service Releases 1 Hotfix 1 and Hotfix 2 for enaio® webclient are service releases for bug fixing.

Service Release 1 for enaio® webclient contains bug fixes and the following new features:

HTTPS for enaio® webclient as a desktop application

With Service Release 1 for enaio® webclient, the Electron framework used in enaio® webclient as a desktop application was also updated. The Chromium browser used by the Electron framework has also been updated. With this Chromium update, the enhanced security measures adopted by all browser manufacturers were also implemented. They are intended to thwart CORS attacks and prevent the transmission of login information via non-encrypted channels in live environments. For this reason, NTLM logins in enaio® webclient as a desktop application are now only supported for encrypted HTTPS connections. For an NTLM login, enaio® gateway must therefore be configured for HTTPS. Logging in with Basic-Auth via unencrypted HTTP connections is still possible for test purposes.

System Roles for enaio® webclient

New system roles have been introduced for enaio® webclient. Previous configurations of the corresponding functions will become inactive and be replaced by the system roles via osweb-prod.yml with Service Release 1 for enaio® webclient.

These new system roles are automatically assigned to all users with the system role Webclient: Start with the update to enaio® version 11.0 .

The Service Release 1 for enaio® webclient results in the following changes:

User Administration in enaio® webclient

Users are assigned the system roles specified in the osrest.web.systemroles.properties configuration file from the <AppConnectorInstallDir>\configuration directory via user management in enaio® webclient. This configuration file is not updated when enaio® appconnector is updated.

You can get a current version of the configuration file through a download.

Hit Lists

The number of currently selected objects and the total number of all objects in a hit list are now displayed in the header instead of in the footer.

Drag-and-drop Functionality when Creating New Documents

The process of filing new documents in enaio® webclient has been simplified. When the filing location is open, individual files or multiple image files can now be dragged from the local file system or from a Windows application into the new drop zone. This eliminates the need for the intermediate steps, which were required previously, such as opening the context menu and calling the command New.

Keyboard Controls

It is now possible to use the keyboard for navigation and opening and executing options in the card view, offering an alternative for quick access to objects and their functions in the hit list.
