Target

The goal is to make it possible to track SAP® business transactions in enaio®. To do so, you will need to export data and, if necessary, document links from the SAP® system and import them into enaio®. In addition, you may need to import SAP® data in the form of text files to make them available to other external applications (for example, Classify).

Various mechanisms are available for the actual transfer process.

This document has been provided to make it easier for you to use the current version of the program.

Overview

The SAP® system processes data through 'transactions' (SAP® term for program). At the heart of any SAP® transaction is a basic business process (for example, posting an invoice or creating a goods receipt). The data from this process is typically stored in several tables. The data is modeled on the basis of the business object.

To map a business process in enaio®, data must be transferred from one or more SAP® tables. The starting point is generally a business object.

There are several steps in the data transfer process:

  • Select the business object(s) you want to transfer.

  • Retrieve additional information.

  • Prepare the information.

  • Output or transfer data.

The steps outlined above are performed by separate modules which are available in different formats. If necessary, additional modules can be programmed and integrated into the overall application via customizing.
