Keyboard Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts can be used to issue specific control commands in enaio® webclient. enaio® webclient and enaio® webclient as a desktop application support a large number of common keyboard shortcuts. This section introduces you to a few special shortcuts that apply in certain areas and that go beyond the standard shortcuts.
enaio® mobile does not support keyboard shortcuts.

Places the focus on an area on the user interface of enaio® webclient. For example, starting from your browser's URL field, you can click the tab key multiple times to move to the main menu, the full-text search box on the dashboard, and the |
Shift ⇧+Tab ↹ key | Changes the focus in reverse order, taking you back to the main menu. |

Arrow key ↓ down, ↑ up |
Moves the focus to the next area in the main menu below or above the currently selected area. |
Enter key ↩ / Space bar |
Opens the navigation or submenu of the area currently focused in the main menu. If the area does not contain a navigation or submenu, then the view of the area opens. Pressing the Enter key or Space again closes the submenu. |
Tab ↹ |
When the navigation is closed, this moves the focus in the workspace to the full-text search input field on the dashboard or the filter input field in an open object list (e.g., in a hit list, at a filing location, in the history, in inboxes, etc.). |

Moves the focus to the next entry in the navigation below or above the currently selected entry. |
Arrow key ← to the left, → to the right |
Moves the focus to the next element in the navigation to the right or left of the currently selected element. |

Triggers an action associated with the focused entry or element, such as opening the search or create new form, attaching the navigation to the main menu, or expanding drop-down menus. Pressing the Enter key or Space again closes dropdown menus or, if the focus is on the |

Opens the currently focused entry in the user menu or executes an action assigned to the entry. |
Esc | Closes the user menu. |

Esc | Cancels a dialog if the dialog provides for cancellation (i.e., dialogs with the Close or Cancelbuttons). |

Tab ↹ | Focuses on the next field or element in a form, allowing you to navigate the form. From the last form field or element, the tab key ↹ takes you to the Save or Search buttons. |

Tab ↹ | The focus moves to the next item in an object list, allowing you to navigate through the object list starting from the filter input field to the first entry in the object list. The next time you press the tab key ↹, the focus moves to the header of the preview area. If the preview area is not docked, the focus moves to the main menu instead. |

Two modes have been implemented within tables in index data forms. The write mode (indicated by a line at the bottom of the cell that is the same color as the set accent color) and the navigation mode (indicated by a gray border around the cell). | |
