enaio® Outlook Add-In NG

enaio® 10.10 »

enaio® Outlook Add-In NG is installed via an MSI package.

The MSI file enaio_outlook_addin_ng.msi is part of the installation data in the \Win32\Disk1\components\enaio Outlook Add-In NG directory.

The command line parameter can be used during installation to specify the interval at which the connection to enaio® client or enaio® webclient as a desktop application is checked. Default: 1500 milliseconds. Command line parameter: CHECKDELAY=Value

The value is saved as a registry entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\<Wow6432Node>\OPTIMAL SYSTEMS\enaio\enaio Outlook Add-In NG

String: ContextCheckDelay

enaio® Outlook Add-in NG requires the 'mailstorage' and 'extraction' services.

MSI installations require administrator rights and should be carried out using an administrator command line when user account control is enabled.

enaio® Outlook Add-In NG can be used with enaio® client or enaio® webclient as a desktop application. If both are installed, then the user can specify which client is to be used via the add-in configuration. An administrator can make a preselection via a parameter. The user can change the setting.

MSI parameter Values

RichClientPriority

0: enaio® client (default)

2: enaio® webclient as a desktop application

The Outlook function 'Send on Behalf' requires the Windows version 10809 (as a minimum) or the corresponding cumulative updates at the workstation so that e-mails are not created multiple times.

E-mails and Outlook objects such as appointments are expected and created in 'EML' format. E-mail display in enaio® is optimized for e-mail viewing; other Outlook objects will not be optimally rendered. We recommend opening these Outlook objects externally in Outlook.

The 'New Outlook for Windows' is not supported.

Configuration

The 'mailstorage' EMS service can be extensively configured.

The add-ins can be enabled/disabled via the add-in management of Microsoft Outlook.

enaio® Outlook Add-In NG is activated automatically. This add-in extends the Start ribbon tab in Outlook to include the enaio group. The connection to enaio® server is established via enaio® client or enaio® webclient as a desktop application.

Scripts are used to offer index-specific suggestions for filing locations.

Put these scripts as a *.zip archive called SuggestionScripts.zip in the etc directory of the server's data directory. They are then automatically transferred to the workstation each time the add-in is started.

Size Limit for Creating E-Mails

Registry entries on the workstations can be used to limit the maximum number of e-mails that can be created together and the maximum size of e-mails.

High values may lead to errors during the creation process.

Restoring E-Mails

E-mails transferred via enaio® exchange can be replaced in Outlook by enaio® reference files. The original versions of these e-mails can be temporarily restored for display purposes.

This function must be enabled via a registry entry on the workstations. The Restore e-mail function will then be added to the ribbon in Outlook.
