enaio® 10.10 »

Installation Requirements

As a general rule, the system requirements of the relevant releases provided by OPTIMAL SYSTEMS apply. This section describes the project-specific requirements and parameters for installing the system components.

The following requirements must be fulfilled in order to install enaio® data2s:

  • It must be installed and registered on all computers where enaio® data2s will be used in a VBScript.

  • enaio® data2s must be installed in the client32 directory. enaio® client version 9.10 or later must therefore be installed. enaio® client must be started at least once.

  • Microsoft .Net Framework version 3.5 and SAP GUI version 7.x must be installed on the computers concerned.
Starting with SAP GUI 7.30, SAP connection settings are user-dependent. For the SAP GUI to nevertheless find an INI file, an empty file called SAPLOGON.INI must be placed in the Windows directory.

License Check

The 'D2S' (for calling an RFC-enabled function module) or 'DOC' (for creating a document link) OS license is required to use enaio® data2s.

Installation Process

The axData2SAP.exe and Interop.Scripting.dll files must be placed in the 'client32' directory of an enaio® client installation on each computer on which the enaio® data2s component will be used.

If the component is used in server scripts, the aforementioned files must be provided in the client32 directory on the server.

If the component is used in client scripts, the files listed above must be available in the client32 directory on every client involved.

We recommend that you also place the axData2SAP.exe.config file in the aforementioned directory. When axData2SAP.exe is run, parameters are read from this file. If the file exists, a log file will be created from which you may be able to extract key information. This log file can generally be found under \client32\logs\log.txt. However, you can edit the axData2SAP.exe.config file and change the storage path.

Registration

The component must be registered on every computer where enaio® data2s is used. To do this, run the following command with local administrator rights:
